Adani Group’s M-Cap Still Short of It's Peak

Published On: January 25, 2024 - Today, on 25 January 2024, it has been a year since the U.S.-based short-seller Hindenburg released a report and posed allegations on the Adani group that ranged from accounting fraud to stock manipulation. Before the emergence of this report, Adani Group’s m-cap was at its peak, at Rs 19.3 lakh crore. However, after the report, the group’s m-cap hit its lowest on 27 February 2023 and fell to Rs 6.8 lakh crore. From then, even if the m-cap has now more than doubled from a low of Rs 6.8 lakh crore, it is still Rs 4.7 lakh crore short of its all-time peak of Rs 19.3 lakh crore.
