Adani-Hindenburg Row: Contempt Plea Filed Against SEBI For Delays In Probe

Published On: November 20, 2023 - A contempt plea has been filed against the market regulator, SEBI, for delays in probing the Adani-Hindenburg case. As per the plea, SEBI did not complete its inquiry within the set timeline. Ideally, SEBI was asked to complete the inquiry in the Adani-Hindenburg case by August 14. In January 2023, Hindenburg came out with its scathing report, claiming that the Adani group inflated stock prices, was involved in money laundering, and accounted for fraud.
