Air India-Vistara: A New Chapter

Published On: July 18, 2023 - Vinod Kannan, the CEO of Vistara, officially confirmed on July 17 that the process of merging staff from Vistara and Air India has been set in motion. The anticipated timeline for the completion of the merger, subject to regulatory clearances, is set for April 2024. The announcement of the merger between Vistara and Air India was made back in November. The strategic move is aimed at empowering the Tata Group with increased capacity, allowing them to establish a stronger presence and compete with the dominant budget carrier, IndiGo.
