Amit Shah Says 'Fully Prepared', Over 20,000 Evacuated in Gujarat

Published On: June 13, 2023 - Cyclone Biparjoy has turned into a ‘very severe cyclonic storm’, says Met Department. The cyclone is moving northwards and is centered approximately 290 km southwest of Porbandar in Gujarat. Come Thursday, the cyclone may cross Saurashtra and Kutch regions as well as neighboring Pakistan. India seems battle-ready for any emergencies in the wake of the cyclone. NDRF has deployed four teams to Gujarat, two teams in addition to three teams in Mumbai plus a team of around 22 rescuers deployed in the coastal area of Diu since Saturday.
