Another charge of bribes against Bankman-Fried

Published On: March 30, 2023 - Sam Bankman, the founder of FTX -the fallen cryptocurrency exchange- has been charged with directing $40 million in bribes to one or more Chinese officials. Bankman-Fried was arrested in the Bahamas in December and brought to the United States. He is currently facing a trial on criminal charges of stealing billions of dollars in FTX customer funds to plug losses at his Alameda Research hedge fund, in addition to making large illegal political donations to buy influence.
