Around 20% Of India’s PMJDY A/c Are Inoperative

Published On: December 20, 2023 - About 20% of the total 51.11 crore Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY) accounts in the country are inoperative, the government said on Tuesday. Of 10.34 crore inoperative accounts, 4.93 crore belong to women. The accounts are referred to as inoperative if a customer doesn’t make any transaction using the account in two years.
