Bahrain, Saudi Arabia Next On NPCI's List

Published On: June 13, 2023 - The National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) is currently engaged in discussions with Gulf countries, specifically Bahrain and Saudi Arabia, to expand the availability of its Unified Payments Interface (UPI) services in these nations. Although the talks are in the early stages, there is notable interest from the Gulf countries. The introduction of UPI services would be advantageous for the considerable number of Indians residing and working in the Gulf countries who have expressed interest in utilizing this convenient payment solution.
