Banning 22 Illegal Betting Apps: ED's Probe Includes 'Mahadev Book App

Published On: November 06, 2023 - The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) has issued a ban against 22 illegal betting applications and websites. The list of banned applications include Mahadev Book app, on which ED conducted raids in Chhattisgarh. As per the ED investigations, the app was conducting unlawful operations. In addition, the enforcement agency also alleged the role of Chattisgarh's CM Bhupesh Baghel in the money laundering scam, referring to him as a direct beneficiary.
