Battle for Baramati: Pawar Vs Pawar

This seat has been held by the Pawar family for close to three decades. NCP President Sharad Pawar has represented Baramati five times, his daughter Supriya Sule three times, and his nephew Ajit Pawar once. Maharashtra has 40 Lok Sabha seats. But none will be as closely watched as Baramati because it’s a battle between two Pawars-- sitting MP Supriya Sule and Ajit Pawar’s wife Sunetra Pawar. The contest is actually a proxy war between uncle Sharad Pawar and his nephew Ajit Pawar.
