Binance CEO Pleads Guilty To Violating US Anti-Money Laundering Laws

Published On: November 22, 2023 - Changpeng Zhao, founder and former CEO of world's largest cryptocurrency exchange, Binance, steps down after pleading guilty to violating U.S. anti-money laundering laws. Zhao reached a $4.3 billion settlement deal in a Seattle court. Zhao is not allowed to take on a management position for the next three years. In his place, Richard Teng, Binance's global head of regional markets, will take over as CEO.
