Hong Kong and Singapore have taken decisive action, banning four products from Indian manufacturers MDH and Everest due to concerns over their safety for consumption. The Hong Kong food regulator's routine surveillance program revealed the presence of ethylene oxide in three spice mixes from MDH Group, including Madras Curry Powder, Sambhar Masala Powder, and Curry Powder, prompting urgent attention to the issue. Additionally, Everest Group's Fish Curry Masala was found to contain the pesticide as well.
