Chargesheet Filed Against Brij Bhushan But Delhi Police Ask POCSO Charges To Be Quashed

Published On: June 15, 2023 - The Delhi Police has filed a chargesheet in court against Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh. Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) chief will now face charges of sexual harassment and stalking. However, the police have told the court that the case under the stringent Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act should be dropped. According to the police, the father of the minor girl, who had earlier accused Singh of sexually harassing his daughter, has now withdrawn the case claiming that it was false to begin with. Will this bring relief to the WFI chief and deal a major blow to the wrestlers’ campaign for justice?
