Current Account Deficit Widens To $9.2 Billion In June Quarter On Back Of Trade Imbalance

Published On: September 29, 2023 - India’s Current Account Deficit widened sequentially to $9.2 billion or 1.1% of the GDP in Q1 of FY24 as compared to $1.3 billion in the previous quarter. The quarter-on-quarter widening was primarily on account of higher trade deficit, lower surplus in net services and decline in remittances.
