Met Department has Issued Cyclone Biparjoy Red Alert for the Saurashtra and Kutch Coasts

Cyclone 'Biparjoy' is expected to hit different parts of the country. And Union and State ministers have reviewed preparedness. The meeting in Delhi was chaired by Home Minister Amit Shah. He has directed all stakeholders and officers to ensure 'zero casualties' and minimize the possible damage. Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and MPs from 8 districts in the state which could possibly be impacted by the cyclone virtually participated in the meeting. Cyclone Biparjoy is expected to cross the Gujarat coast on June 15.
