Devotees Sue RSS for Allegedly using Kerala Temple for Weapons Training

Published On: June 22, 2023 - The Kerala High Court has sought the responses of the state government, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh and the Travancore Devaswom Board on a petition challenging RSS holding drills and imparting arms training on the Sarkara Devi Temple premises at Chirayinkeezhu, in Thiruvananthapuram. The RSS has been accused of carrying out drills with sticks — tantamount to weapons training — raising loud slogans, and allegedly using pan masala in the premises between 5 p.m. and midnight. Petitioners have said that these drills distract them from praying peacefully at the temple.
