FinMin Questions FAME-III Rationale, Decision Pending

Published On: November 03, 2023 - After the implementation of the FAME-I and FAME-II subsidies, the finance ministry is questioning the logic behind bringing in the FAME-III.. FAME stands for Faster Adoption and Manufacturing of Hybrid and Electric Vehicles. The scheme was launched in 2015. The final decision on the matter will be taken by India’s Finance Ministry in consultation with the Ministry of Heavy industries.
