Former Kalakshetra Professor Arrested For Alleged Sexual Harassment

Published On: April 24, 2024 – Tamil Nadu police has arrested arrested renowned Bharatnatyam dancer and a former faculty at Chennai's Kalakshetra Foundation, Sheejith Krishna on charges of sexual assault. Two of his former students have alleged that Krishna had raped them on the false promise of marriage and committed other sexual offences. This is the second such case of sexual harassment at the Kalakshetra Foundation in 2 years, after students went on protest alleging sexual harassment by four teachers in March 2023.
