Foxconn-HCL Partnership To Establish Semiconductor Assembly, Packaging Unit In India

Published On: January 18, 2024 - Foxconn and HCL Group have announced a semiconductor Joint Venture (JV) in India. Taiwanese firm Foxconn will invest $37.2 million for a 40% stake in the JV. Earlier, Foxconn had announced setting up a semiconductor fab unit with Vedanta. However, the plans were later called off in July 2023 as both companies failed to find a technology partner.
