GST Battle: E-Gaming Firms Face Rs 1 Lakh Cr Notices at 28%

Published On: October 25, 2023 - Tax authorities sent GST show cause notices worth Rs 1 trillion to online gaming companies, according to a Reuters report. Online gaming companies such as Delta Corp, Dream 11, GamesCraft, etc., have received notices alleging a shortfall in tax payments. The Bombay High Court has intervened in the Delta Corp GST shortfall case. It has directed the Directorate General of Goods and Services Tax Intelligence (DGGI) not to pass any final orders in the case of Delta Corp and its two subsidiaries, Highstreet Cruises and Entertainment Private Limited and Delta Pleasure Cruise Company Private Limited.
