Ukraine has for years hoped to get a seat at the North Atlantic Treaty Organization table. Especially now that the war with Russia has entered its third year. But what NATO intends to offer Kyiv is something different – a new headquarters in Germany to coordinate aid of all kinds. While this is bound to send a strong message of allied commitment towards Ukraine, there’s another reason why the NATO, and the US has opted for an overseas management of Ukraine funds – US presidential candidate Donald Trump.
