India Added 5.2 Crore Formal Jobs in Last 4 Years: SBI Report

Published On: September 13, 2023 - India added 5.2 crore payroll or formal jobs in the market, from FY20 to FY23, as per the EPFO and NPS data analysed by SBI. The report further states that Q1 FY24 has been encouraging. Already 44 lakh net new EPF subscribers joined, of which first payroll was 19.2 lakh and if this trend continues then net new payroll is expected to cross 160 lakh in FY24, making it the highest ever.
