India’s Red Sea Mission

India deploys two warships off the cast of Aden amidst Houthi attacks in the Red sea. This is after the US announced the formation of a 10-nation naval force to protect ships from Houthis. Codenamed Operation Prosperity Guardian – the force includes UK, Canada, France, Bahrain, Norway and Spain. Yemen’s Houthi rebels are attacking commercial ships in the Red Sea in support of Hamas in its war with the Israelis The attacks on commercial ships in the Red Sea risk pushing up the price of oil and other goods.
