India To Get Its Own SWIFT Soon

Published On: July 28, 2023 - India is planning to create its own global financing messaging system, intending to support the government's objective of internationalizing the Indian currency. To achieve this goal, an expert committee has been formed, actively exploring various possibilities, and is expected to present its conclusions by August. Key banks such as the State Bank of India, Bank of Baroda, and Central Bank of India are actively participating and providing inputs during this consultation process.
