India-UAE Trade Talks: RuPay Debit, Credit Card For Cross Border Payments Soon

Published On: October 05, 2023 - Abu Dhabi and NPCI International Payments Limited, the overseas branch of India's National Payment Corporation of India (NPCI), will sign a formal agreement with Al Etihad Payments on 5th October. The purpose of this agreement is to facilitate cross-border transactions. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), aims to collaborate on creating a domestic card system in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) modelled after India's RuPay debit and credit card.
