Jarange Says Quota Bill Does Not Do Justice

Published On: February 21, 2024 - Jarange Patil said that the passage of the Maratha quota bill that guaranteed 10% reservation for Marathas was a betrayal by the Eknath Shinde government. Jarange's key demand has been the inclusion of blood relatives in the reservation. The government has allowed Marathas to be given reservation under the Kunbi caste certification. The Kunbis are a sub-caste of Marathas and have been recognised as OBCs.
