Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan & Guv Arif Mohammed Khan At Loggerheads, State Govt To Move SC Against Guv

Published On: September 28, 2023 - Kerala's Pinarayi Vijayan government is planning to approach the Supreme Court against Kerala Governor Arif Mohammad Khan for not signing eight bills passed by the Assembly. CM Vijayan said the delay was 'not in keeping with the essence of parliamentary democracy'. The Governor, on the other hand, slammed the state for spending Rs 40 lakh for seeking legal advice. He added he will not succumb to the threats made by the CM saying, 'I welcome the government's plan to move the apex court.'
