Made-in-India Semiconductors by Dec: Vaishnaw

Published On: January 19, 2024 - Union I.T Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw announced that semiconductor manufacturer Micron Technology, which is setting up its plant in India, will roll out its first chip in the country by December this year. Ashwini further said that the agreement was signed in June 2023, while construction started in September 2023. Micron had announced an investment of $825 million to set up a new assembly and test facility in Gujarat.
