Once such case has been reported from Mumbai, where a 54-year-old Ayurveda doctor from Andheri, became the latest victim of a deepfake scam and lost over Rs 7 lakh. It all started when Dr. KKH Patil stumbled upon an Instagram reel featuring a video of industrialist Mukesh Ambani. The video, which appeared legitimate, promoted a company called 'Rajiv Sharma Trade Group' and its BCF Investment Academy, promising high returns.
