Non-Delhi Registered Cabs Ban In Delhi? Decision Amidst Toxic Air Quality

Published On: November 09, 2023 - In the purview of worsening air quality in the national capital, the Delhi government has banned the entry of app-based cabs that are registered outside Delhi. As a result, only Delhi-registered cab and taxis can ply in the capital. Gopal Rai, Delhi's Environment minister, says that a detailed order will also be issued on the implementation of the new decision. Delhi's Transportation Minister, Kailash Gahlot, said that since polluting vehicles were entering Delhi freely, the scrutiny would be further tightened at the borders.
