On October 7, the Central Consumer Protection Authority (CCPA) issued a show cause notice to Ola Electric for alleged violation of consumer rights, misleading advertisement and unfair trade practices after a wave of over 10,000 complaints were received on the National Consumer Helpline (NCH). The authority provided a timeline of 15 days for the company to respond to the show cause notice.
