President Murmu Arrives in Parliament with Historic Golden Senegol

Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru approved the Sengol, which got its name from a Tamil word meaning righteousness, in 1947. It is a custom from the Chola empire that represents the peaceful transfer of power.
