Ram Madhav, The Mastermind Who Brought BJP to J&K, Is Back In Charge For Polls

Published On: August 21, 2024 - The BJP has brought back RSS veteran Ram Madhav to lead the upcoming assembly election campaign in Jammu and Kashmir, alongside Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy. This decision follows Madhav's recent opinion piece that characterized the 2024 Lok Sabha election result as a 'mandate for humility.' On Tuesday, the BJP officially named Ram Madhav and G. Kishan Reddy as the in-charges for the upcoming assembly polls in J&K. These elections, the first in J&K after 10 years and following the abrogation of Article 370 and the bifurcation into two Union Territories, mark a significant moment. Ram Madhav previously played a key role in the BJP's 2014 election success in J&K, where the party secured 25 seats, becoming the second-largest party after the Peoples Democratic Party (28 seats) and surpassing the National Conference's 15 seats.
