The CSDS survey delved into the concept of religious tolerance in India, revealing a significant majority advocating for religious pluralism. An impressive 79% of respondents affirmed that India is equal for all religions, not solely for Hindus, with only 11% expressing the view that India belongs exclusively to Hindus. Interestingly, support for pluralism was notably stronger among urban and educated respondents.
