Advantage: Senior Citizens

Published On: May 19, 2023 - More senior citizens are going big on small savings schemes. The budget 2023 moved to double the deposit limit under the Senior Citizen Saving Scheme to Rs 30 lakh from Rs 15 lakh. Since the enhanced limit kicked-in in April, senior citizens deposited Rs 10,000 crore in a month, compared with the usual deposit of about Rs 3,000 crore.
