Sheikh Shahjahan Remanded in Police

Published On: February 29, 2024 - Trinamool Congress leader Sheikh Shahjahan, accused of sexual violence and land grab by several women in West Bengal's Sandeshkhali, has finally been arrested. Shahjahan was apprehended after 55 days. Shahjahan's arrest follows a verdict by the Calcutta High Court clarifying that there was no stay on the arrest of the Trinamool Congress leader. ShahJahan has been remanded to police custody.
