Trains Collide at West Bengal's Siliguri

Published On: June 17, 2024 - Atleast 5 people have been killed and 25 injured in a tragic train accident in West Bengal's Siliguri...The accident occured when the Sealdah-bound 13174 Kanchanjunga Express was struck from behind by a freight train when it was stationary on the tracks between Rangapani and Nijbari. 3 coaches of the Kanchanjunga Express were derailed due to the impact of the collision. Railway authorities have diverted multiple trains to different stations in response to the incident. Currently, five have been dead and several injuries are reported. Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee took a stock of the situation and expressed her grief.
