U.S Inflation Hits 3-Year Low

Published on: September 12, 2024 - U.S inflation is showing signs of cooling down. Last month, the year-over-year price increases hit their lowest point in three years. So, what’s going on and how it might affect you? According to the latest report from the U.S Labor Department, consumer prices rose by 2.5% in August compared to a year earlier. That’s down from 2.9% in July and marks the fifth consecutive annual decline. It’s the smallest increase we've seen since February 2021. In just one month, from July to August, prices barely budged, rising only 0.2%.
