Uttarkashi Rescue Operations Shift Focus to Horizontal Drilling

Published On: November 22, 2023 - The first visuals of the 41 trapped labourers in an under-construction tunnel in Uttarkashi brought all-round relief on Tuesday which was the 10th day of their stranding behind a heap of about 60 metre rubble. The focus now for the rescue operations in Uttarkashi is on horizontal drilling to rescue trapped workers ifrom the tunnel. A 6-inch food pipeline laid yesterday at the Silkyara Tunnel in Uttarkashi has since become fully functional.
