Published On: April 18, 2024 – Stones were pelted and crude bombs hurled at a Ram Navami procession in Murshidabad on Wednesday evening. At least 20 people were injured in the violence that broke out. The police resorted to lathi charge and tear gas shells were fired to disperse the mob. Section 144 was imposed in the district. The BJP charged the TMC for provoking and instigating the violence and for their inability to manage law and order in the state.
