Will India Touch $7 Trillion Economy By 2030?

Published On: January 31, 2024 - India will become the world's third largest economy in the coming years, as per the government. To take that spot, India is targeting to touch a $7 trillion mark by 2030. But, is it possible for India to reach double digit growth? In addition, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) recently said that it has raised its global growth forecast for 2024 to 3.1%. The IMF cites unexpected resilience in major advanced and emerging market economies as the reason to raise forecast figures. The 3.1% figure - released in the latest World Economic Outlook report - is 0.2% higher than the IMF's previous forecast in October.
