Will There Be a Deadline Extension in Zee-Sony Merger?

Published On: December 21, 2023 - Sony India has agreed on the extension of the deadline sought by Zee. As per reports, a 30-day extension has been agreed upon. Earlier, the Zee-sony merger had hit a roadblock with Sony India issuing a statement saying that it had not agreed to the extension of the deadline for merger sought by Zee. The original deadline to complete the merger is Thursday, 21 December. However, the Punit Goenka-led group asked for an extension on 17 December.
