Direct Taxes Cross Estimates

Published On: April 04, 2023 - Net direct tax collections rose by 17.63% YoY to Rs 16.61 lakh crore in the financial year 2022-23, compared to Rs 14.12 lakh crore in the preceding fiscal. The direct tax mop-up last fiscal exceeded both the Budget estimates of Rs 14.2 lakh crore as well as the revised estimates of Rs 16.50 lakh crore.
