Zee-Sony Merger Called Off

Published On: January 23, 2024 - After nearly two years of negotiating, Sony Group on Monday, 22 January, called off its 10-billion merger deal with Zee Entertainment. The development came in after a meeting was held last week, on Friday, following which a final decision on the merger deal was expected. As per a company statement, Sony is also pursuing a termination fee of $90 million from Zee Entertainment.
